Endsville is being built as a world that can keep expanding - new regions, dungeons, skills, creatures, quests and secrets waiting beyond the places you already know.
One account, every device. The browser version is the full game; the launcher adds fullscreen, controller support and keeps itself updated.
Every few generations the city comes due and it ends - burned, flooded, buried, forgotten. Then somebody signs again, and a new Endsville is built on top of the old one. The ground under your feet is the paperwork of every Endsville before this one.
The Deed is the contract the First Clerks signed with the Underwriter, the thing under everything. The terms are simple: the city may stand; its people's names are the collateral. When a name is forgotten, the Underwriter collects. The Deed Office still files every name so nobody is forgotten. It is a full-time job.
The Operator keeps the city running. Nobody hired him. He works from a spire at the eastern edge - the Last Page - fixing things "by morning". It is always the same morning. He knows a third way out of the Deed, and he will not say it out loud.
The Margins are the sky. The Lamplighters worked out long ago that the Deed only covers what is on the line; anything above it is a note in the margin and nobody owns it. So they built up - towers, ropes, platforms that float. The sky is the only free place in Endsville.
The current Deed is due. Every region's quests build toward one choice at the Last Page: renew it, tear it, or find the Operator's third way and rewrite it - a route that only opens to those who collected the memory fragments of every layer.- THE DEED OFFICE WOULD LIKE YOU TO STOP READING NOW
Every resident, every mob and every page of this will live at wiki.endsville.online.
